The World Food Exchange regional tours provided an opportunity to introduce the speakers, attending media, and delegates to a taste of regional South Australia's brilliant experiences, highlighting the whole of chain wine and food experiences. The tours incorporated unique experiences only available through the World Food Exchange program. They featured a taste of the lifestyle and world-class ecologically sustainable seafood and aquaculture industry of the Eyre Peninsula as well as immersion in the food and wine culture of the Barossa.
Industry-targeted workshops were conducted in Port Lincoln and the Barossa, offering local producers and business operators unique opportunities to learn from the expert panel, and examine the business and investment opportunities offered in creating experiences for the high-yielding culinary tourism market.
One night in each region was dedicated to a regional showcase dinner, with fabulous, locally-produced food and wine.
